EN: The veneration of the Icon of the Mother of God "Prodromita" (also known as the "Acheiropoietos" icon, or icon not made by human hands) is a major tradition in Eastern Orthodoxy. The original miraculous icon is housed at the Romanian Skete of Prodromos on Mount Athos in Greece, but veneration takes place globally, particularly through copies located in Romania and other international Orthodox communities. Our parish has a true copy of the original brought with blessing from Mount Athos.

RO: Cinstirea Icoanei Maicii Domnului "Prodromita" (cunoscuta si ca icoana "Acheiropoietos", adica nefacuta de mana omeneasca) este o traditie importanta in Ortodoxia Rasariteana. Icoana originala facatoare de minuni se afla la Schitul romanesc Prodromu din Sfantul Munte Athos, Grecia, iar cinstirea ei se face in intreaga lume, mai ales prin copiile aflate in Romania si in alte comunitati ortodoxe internationale. Parohia noastra are o copie adevarata a originalului, adusa cu binecuvantare din Sfantul Munte Athos.
